CBD Education Center
Plain English CBD education for adults who want to understand hemp based topicals, product labels, lab reports, and responsible use before they buy.
Heartland CBD is being built around education first. Our goal is to help adults understand CBD basics, topical product formats, Certificates of Analysis, THC profile information, and responsible use before choosing a product.
CBD Basics
CBD stands for cannabidiol, a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant. CBD is different from THC, the cannabis compound most commonly associated with intoxication. Heartland CBD focuses on adult hemp wellness education, transparency, and non intoxicating product categories.
Understanding CBD Topicals
CBD topicals are products designed for external use on the skin. These may include balms, lotions, creams, roll ons, and patches. Because topicals touch the skin directly, ingredient quality, directions for use, and skin safety information matter.
CBD Patches Explained
CBD patches are adhesive hemp infused patches designed to provide a simple, discreet, and mess free way to include CBD in an adult wellness routine. They are typically placed on clean, dry skin and worn only as directed by the product label.
What to check before buying a CBD patch
- CBD amount per patch
- Patch wear time
- Ingredient list
- Adhesive and skin use information
- CBD type such as isolate, broad spectrum, or full spectrum
- THC profile
- Current third party lab report
- Batch number and expiration date
- Clear directions for use
How to Read a Certificate of Analysis
A Certificate of Analysis, often called a COA, is a lab report that helps customers understand what is in a CBD product. A COA may show CBD potency, THC level, other cannabinoids, heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, microbials, batch information, testing date, and lab name.
CBD Isolate, Broad Spectrum, and Full Spectrum
CBD isolate contains CBD without other cannabinoids.
Broad spectrum CBD contains CBD plus other hemp compounds and is usually processed to remove THC.
Full spectrum CBD contains CBD plus other hemp compounds and may contain trace THC within legal hemp limits.
CBD and Drug Testing Considerations
Heartland CBD does not guarantee that any CBD product will or will not affect a drug test. Customers who are subject to drug testing should review the product’s COA, understand the THC profile, and consult the rules that apply to their workplace, sport, legal matter, or organization before using CBD.
Responsible Use and Safety
CBD is widely used by adults, but it is not right for everyone. Customers should talk with a healthcare professional before using CBD, especially if they take medication, have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have concerns about CBD use.
- For adult use only.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
